33 Hot Rod Update
We are moving into the next stage of assembly! BODY FIT!
No one believes this thing will ever be done, but I have the goal of paint this summer. We will see if we can get there or not so stay tuned!
We had to get the wiring buttoned up so we can fit the body, mock up the running boards and fenders, set the correct wheelbase so we can measure the max tires size and order a new drive shaft… so finishing the wiring was the key… and that as they say, is in the mirrors now!

Updates on the 33 Hot Rod

October 31 , 2015

Well actually only a few, mainly what’s been happening all summer from April to the end of October.

Don’t Forget, the latest posts are at the bottom of the page as to stay in chronological order. Look for todays date.

See the car actually driving on the road!! I “carted” the car in April before putting the project on hold for the summer. See all this pics and a video – Click HERE

Here is the carting video for your viewing pleasure.

33 update! Made a list – Checked it twice!!

November 29 – 30, 2014

Tightened bolts, installed trunk hinges, mocked up the seats and set out the plans for the audio system. Go to the bottom of the Interior, Dash & Electronic Components Section HERE for pics an plan.

Also ran the car with Andy today. Got the cooling system burped. We got heat from the heater and she sits and idles at 800 RPM with nice crisp throttle response. Temp hovers at 175 degrees with the fans on…. NICE!
It ran for 30 minutes while we checked the vacuum for Power Brakes (perfect) and checked the Tranny fluid level – light one liter I think… all systems good to go!!!

“ISIS Power” Unplugs From Name

Due to the current political climate in the USA with the word “ISIS”, Jay Harris was forced to re-brand “ISIS Power”

under another name – Now InfinityBox LLC

 .
(ISIS was

an acronym for the product: Intelligent Silicon Integrated System.)

IMHO: This is a real shame, and a stroke of bad luck. As a business owner I’d be frustrated as hell by this but what can you do in that situation.

In one regard I supposed you’d want to resit changing, but it would likely cost as much to keep the brand safe as it does to change it.

KUDOS to you Jay, for making this bold step. As a show of support for your brand (and for whats it’s worth), I have tried to replace all reference to “ISIS Power” with “InfinityBox LLC” throughout my blog.

(Excerpt From The Chicago Tribune)
ISIS Power, an Elk Grove Village manufacturer of automotive electrical wiring systems, isn’t a terrorist organization. That’s what president and founder Jay Harris has been telling customers and the curious alike for months.

But sharing a name with a militant Islamic group has proved bad for business recently, and the 5-year-old company re-branded itself last week as Infinitybox LLC…. See the entire article here – “ISIS Power” Unplugs From Name

IT”S BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE LAST POST and…

If I’ve been asked once I’ve been asked a thousand times… ‘Have you got the car done yet?… How’s the car coming?… Haven’t seen you online in a while!”

Well to answer… the car went on hold for the summer. (and by the way… how long did you all think it would take to build a car anyway? Answer… as long as it takes LOL!!)

Anyway… back to the gap in time. Why you ask? A few reasons, but mostly a change is as good as a rest! There certainly was no shortage of things accomplished… just not on the car!

See the latest updates on the car (yes progress has started again) and updates on all the things that happened this summer in place of working on the car and why the car got held in the first place. Go to the following pages:
